Method:
Download the PDF file and print it out.
Then cut both of the paper patterns out.
Cut your pieces out of the fabric, as stated on the paper pattern.
You should have these pieces: 2 gingerbread man shapes of brown felt, and 4 twists of white felt.
With a pencil or tailor's chalk, lightly transfer the notches on the paper pattern onto the front gingerbread man piece.
Place your 4 white twists on the legs and arms of your gingerbread man. Line them up using the notches you just drew.
Sew them on using an overstitch.
Take your 3" piece of ribbon, fold it in half and baste it together at the shortest edge.
Take your 7" piece of ribbon, fold it right sides together and sew it closed at the shortest edge.
Fold it right sides out and place the seam in the centre.
Create two rows of ruffles on either side of the seam.
Fold your smaller ribbon in half, width ways, and wrap it around the centre of the bow, making sure the folded side covers the raw edge.
Sew it closed.
Sew your bow onto your front gingerbread man piece, where the first notch in the centre is.
Sew your two buttons onto the notches below the bow.
With the black and white embroidery thread, embroider the eyes and mouth on your gingerbread man. You can use the paper pattern as a guide.
Pin your front and back gingerbread pieces wrong sides together.
Sew around your gingerbread man using a blanket stitch.
Just as you come back to where you started, leave approximately a 2" gap.
Stuff your gingerbread man until firm.
Sew the whole closed.
